What is a Panga boat? A Panga boat is a special hull design with a delta pad usually flat 2 inches wide at the point of the bow then gets wider as it runs to the rear where is about 16 inches wide, hence the name delta. The pad means this delta shape protrudes from the hull about one inch the entire length of the delta. This pad acts like a rail reducing surface area in contact with the water which in turn reduces the friction, therefore the engine can perform more efficiently. This provides smooth ride in choppy conditions; the flat delta pad allows it to easily be pulled up onto the beach, which is why it is popular in Mexico, Central and South America as well as island waters.

The delta pad design is also very fuel efficient. The noticeable flared gunnels act to deflect splash from the sides and front, so it is a dry ride. The delta pad design makes it easier for the hull to plane. The high bow is intended to counter a fisherman who stands in the front of the boat
to pull up a heavy up heavy net. There are many more features we are ready to share. We are expert boat builders who know this design in and out.
